What is a V-belt?

What are the different types of V-belts?

Multi-strand V-belt :

PolyFlex V-belt :

PolyFlex V-belts are trapezoidal belts with a ribbed top. These belts are narrower and thinner than conventional V-belts. This product is designed to save space while transmitting high loads at high speeds.

How to choose your V-belt?

To identify the belt you need, you'll need to know its part number and/or dimensions. The part number is usually written directly on the belt if it's not too damaged. If the part number is not visible, you'll need to take the dimensions. For smooth, notched and PolyFlex V-belts, you need to know the cross-section (width x height) and length. For multi-strand V-belts, you need to determine the cross-section of one strand, the number of strands and the length.
